Thanks again to our competitors and those who came out to watch and all of our awesome volunteers!
AMS has been really good to us this year. We’ve been approved for another $3900! That brings the total amount to $6000, which means we will have the equipment we need for an awesome meet.
Our Pendlay equipment has been ordered!
- 240 kg color competition weight set
- 3 Pendlay bars
Hope to see you on Saturday Jan 11! Be sure to let your friends know.
Are you a UBC student/staff and compete as a powerlifter or Olympic weightlifter?
If so, you may have the opportunity to be called a Varsity 2 athlete.
UBC is changing it’s athletics sports structure to provide more services to competitive AMS clubs and UBC Weightlifting & Powerlifting Club will be applying for that competitive club status.
The name of that new tier of athletic clubs is being determined. You can have your say by voting to the name you like best in the link below.
Onward to Victory!
New forms have been updated to be an online form to complete. While a signature is not required for online submission, a waiver must be signed the day of the meet in order to compete.
Those who have already registered do not need to submit registration again.
